SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an apparatus and method for detecting, tracking and/or control of vehicles racing on the track. Racing vehicle is followed by at least one camera at the intersection of a predetermined section of the track. Images provided by the camera is recorded in the recording apparatus, wherein images provided by the camera is recorded within a specific time window within which to determine the intersection of the track section. Actual intersection predetermined section of the track is detected by a sensor device, which is located separately from the camera, and the output signal of the sensor device when driving on the predetermined section of the track, with the label provided with the images obtained by the camera at the time the signal of the sensor device. Signal output of the sensor device within said defined time windows, and the label associated with the respective images stored in the event list. Then, said tag reader for reading the image selection associated with the mark of the images provided by the camera.

EFFECT: technical result - reduction in access time.
