SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a device for control of a rope transport installation, in particular, in urban or suburban environment. The device for control of a rope transport installation contains at least one controller capable of organizing of boarding period (Tn_max) of nominal duration for vehicles on a station. This boarding period (Tn_max) ends with prohibition of access to a vehicle. The controller contains an entrance for reception of at least one value, which is a load of the vehicle. The controller is made with the possibility of reaction to reception of such a value during boarding period (Tn_max) with its comparison with a threshold value and initiation of prohibition of access to the vehicle in advance, before the end of boarding period (Tn_max), depending on the result of comparison between the specified value and the threshold value.

EFFECT: increase in the efficiency of operation as possibility of regulation of a passenger flow is improved.
