FIELD: construction.

SUBSTANCE: fireproof block comprises vertical and parallel plates installed with identical gaps from each other and connected to each other by means of cylindrical links. Length of each plate is equal to width of the block, height matches height of the block, thickness of plates makes from 0.1 to 0.2 of block width. Gap width between plates is from 0.05 to 0.02 of the block width. The sum of plate thickness and gap width relates to the block length as 1:(5-10). The total area of cross section of links that connect two adjacent plates is from 10 to 15% of the plate surface area. The version of the fireproof block comprises plates of various length, some of which protrude beyond the block width at the side of one of side faces formed by ends of plates. On side faces formed by external surfaces of extreme plates there are vertical slots for matching with ledges of adjacent blocks.

EFFECT: increased specific surface of heating of a block and block stability in an attachment.
