FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: spiral computed tomography of an eye socket is preliminary performed to determine a shape and volume of a silicone unit, and an angle whereat a short portion of an L-plate is bent back from a longer one. The short portion of the plate is bent at an angle of 90-110°. A longer portion of the plate comprises screw holes, and a short portion comprises a filament holes. Before mounting the plate, the short portion is introduced into the silicone unit and fixed with a lavsan filament. An intraaxillary approach is performed, and the longer portion of the plate is fixed, while the short portion is placed into an orbital floor defect. If the defect is presented by an acute fracture complicated by a prolapse of subcutaneous tissue into an axillary cavity, then the short portion of the plate with the silicone unit is brought under a lower wall of the eye socket with fixing the longer portion of the plate to a front wall of the maxillary sinus. If the defect is a bone defect of a lower wall of the eye socket accompanied by reducing a volume of the subcutaneous tissue of the eye socket, then the short portion of the plate with the silicone unit is introduced into the eye socket with fixing the longer portion to an alveolar process of an upper jaw.

EFFECT: method provides eliminating the defects of the lower wall of the eye socket by introducing the bent titanium plate into the defect.
