FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: machine comprises two working cylinders accommodating working pistons, mid cylinder with expansion piston and coolant chamber. Working pistons are arranged synphasing in cylinders and in counter phase with expansion piston. Four-stroke process proceeds in working cylinders with 360-degrees phase shift of crankshaft spin angle. Every working cylinder is connected with mid cylinder via bypass channel with bypass valve. Mid cylinder is connected with coolant chamber via connection channel with discharge valve. Coolant chamber is connected with atmosphere via discharge pipe with used gas release valve. One of bypass valves is open at expansion stroke end to bypass expanded combustion products from one of working cylinders into coolant chamber via bypass channel and connection channel with open discharge valve at expansion piston nearby TDC. Combustion products go on expanding in coolant chamber to be discharge via release valve in atmosphere and discharge pipe. Coolant chamber is equipped with heat exchanger to bleed heat from residual expanded gas to its rarefaction and at mid cylinder piston displacement from its BDC said discharge valve is open to communicate mid cylinder with coolant chamber and to displace mid cylinder piston to TDC at rarefaction effects created in coolant chamber.
