FIELD: mechanical engineering; automotive industry; internal combustion engines.
SUBSTANCE: proposed internal combustion engine contains at least one cylinder with piston whose connecting rod is coupled with crankshaft through unit providing movement of piston according to strokes of cycle and all systems required to provide operation of engine. Unit providing movement of piston according to stroke of cycle is made in form of additional crankshaft installed parallel to main crankshaft and connected with main crankshaft by gear train, ratio 1:2. Bellcrank is installed on neck of main crankshaft, one end of said bellcrank being connected with connecting rod of piston and the other, through intermediate lever, with neck of additional crankshaft. Such design of piston movement forming unit provides "undershoot" of piston relative to TDC at exhaust stroke.
EFFECT: increased efficiency of internal combustion engine.
