FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: oil filter is cleaned prior to determining the system operating conditions. Engine is warmed up to set nominal rpm. Oil pressure upstream of the filter is registered. Running time between checks elapsed, oil pressure upstream of said filter is registered again. Obtained data are used to define the pressure increase rate to be compared to tolerable pressure increase rate. Results of comparison allow determination of engine lubing system operating conditions.
EFFECT: decreased time for engine maintenance.
