SUBSTANCE: polydicyclopentadiene-based composite material includes silicon-containing inorganic filler and a polymer matrix containing polydicyclopentadiene, characterised by that it contains a silicon-containing oiling agent in form of the following compounds or mixtures thereof: vinyltrimethoxysilane, vinyl-tris(2-methoxyethoxy)silane, 3-methacryloxypropyl trimethoxysilane, 3-aminopropyltriethoxysilane, 3-thiopropyltrialkoxysilane, 5-trialkoxysilyl-2-norbenene, N-[3-(trimethoxysilyl)propyl]-N′-(4-vinylbenzyl)ethylenediamine hydrochloride, wherein the composite material has the following composition: silicon-containing inorganic filler 5.0-86.5 wt %; polymer matrix 12.0-94.998 wt %, organosilicon oiling agent 0.001-1.5 wt %, wherein the organosilicon oiling agent is chemically bonded to the filler and the polymer matrix, which is obtained from the following composition: dicyclopentadiene of not less than 98% purity in amount of 33.0-99.3 wt %; polymer modifier 0.499-60.0 wt %; radical initiator 0.1-4.0 wt %; polymer stabiliser 0.1-2.98 wt %; catalyst in amount of 0.001-0.02 wt %. The polymer modifier, radical initiator, polymer stabiliser and catalyst used are compounds in accordance with features of claim 1. The invention also includes a method of producing the composite material.

EFFECT: obtaining composite material with improved mechanical properties, thermal and chemical stability with low catalyst consumption.
