FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to proppants from polymer materials used in production of oil and gas by hydraulic fracturing. Method of producing polymer proppant microspheres, comprising preparing a polymer matrix based on a metathesis-radically cross-linked mixture of oligocyclopentadienes, containing components of: polymer stabilizer, radical initiator, ruthenium catalyst for metathesis polymerisation of dicyclopentadiene, mixing of obtained liquid polymer matrix, formation of microspheres, their separation, heating in an inert medium and extraction of the end product, the liquid polymer matrix is mixed until achieving viscosity value in range of 10–100 cP, formation of microspheres is carried out by feeding a polymer matrix by immersing it in an aqueous solution of polyvinyl alcohol used as a stabilizer, using a tube, end of which is placed in a container with an aqueous solution of polyvinyl alcohol, with volume ratio of 1:2 to 1:6, stirring and dispersing for 10–60 minutes to form an emulsion, which is heated to 95–100 °C for 30–90 minutes and held at a given temperature for 5–10 minutes to form microspheres, obtained suspension is cooled, microspheres are separated by filtration, washed from residues of stabilizer, dried, heated in inert gas atmosphere during 30–90 minutes and after cooling end product with particle size of 0.5–1.4 mm is separated. Invention is developed in a subclaim.

EFFECT: technical result is higher quality and output of microspheres.
