SUBSTANCE: invention relates to mass transfer contact devices and can be used in oil processing, petrochemical, chemical and food industries. Device comprises zigzag-like webs to make zigzag-like fluid and gas channels and vertical rods abutting tightly on zigzag-like wed bend edges. Vertical segmenting plates are staggered at opposite webs, behind said vertical rod in said gas and fluid passages. Zigzag-like webs feature H:A ratio of 1.2:3.25, where H is spacing between zigzag-like wed bend edges while A is spacing between said webs making some 35-75 mm and bend edge radius makes not over 3 mm.

EFFECT: higher efficient of mass exchange.
