FIELD: oil and gas industry.

SUBSTANCE: vertical separator contains a cylindrical body with the following process zones going downward: a zone for finally separated gas accumulation and removal, a close annular zone of mixture pre-separation, a zone of final separation of products obtained in pre-separation into oil and gas, and a zone for separated oil accumulation and removal. In the upper part of the body there is an outlet pipe branch for finally separated gas, below there is an outlet pipe branch for removing pre-separated gas from the zone of oil-and-gas mixture pre-separation in the cylindrical part of the body. The separator comprises a tangential inlet pipe branch for the processed mixture entering the annular zone of the mixture pre-separation. There is an outlet pipe branch of the separated oil discharge out of the body at the bottom of it. The separator is equipped with a pipeline and the gas distributor supplying the gas which is pre-separated from the mixture from the annular zone of the separator body into its final separation zone for pre-separated products, and with a counterflow mass-exchanging head which is installed in the final separation zone for pre-separated products. The close annular zone of the mixture pre-separation in the separator body is shelled coupling with the inner surface of the separator body to form an annular sieve-bottom chamber symmetrical to its axis with two conjugate zones of pre-separated products: the zone of pre-separated mixture accumulation and removal and the zone of pre-separated gas accumulation and removal.

EFFECT: increased efficiency and intensification of the separation process.
