SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to communication, particularly to methods and devices for sending positioning reference signals (PRS) when sending data and when receiving data. The present invention solves the problem that data carried by a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) are in conflict with PRS over the fourth orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) symbol when the PDCCH are sent over the first four OFDM symbols in a subframe. When PRS and PDCCH data are required to be sent on the same physical resource, only the PDCCH data or the PRS are sent on the same physical resource; or, when a sending end sends the PRS and the PDCCH data on the same physical resource at the same time, a receiving end ignores the received PRS or the PDCCH data; or, the sending of the PRS or the PDCCH data is limited so that they will not be sent on the same physical resource at the same time.

EFFECT: present invention also describes devices for sending PRS when sending data and when receiving data.
