SUBSTANCE: invention relates to wireless communication. Present invention discloses a method of transmitting an SSS (secondary synchronization signal) which is transmitted by a base station in a wireless communication system. Method includes steps of determining a first offset based on a first and a second cell identifier for identifying a cell, and determining a second shift index based on a first cell identifier and transmitting SSS using first sequence, which is generated based on first shift index, and second sequence, which is generated based on second shift index. In this case, the first shift index can be defined as a K-fold value determined based on the first and second cell identifiers, where K is an integer greater than or equal to 3.

EFFECT: technical result is possibility of avoiding errors when cell ID is detected due to frequency offset.
