FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: method of producing oligoglycidyl azides includes azidation of oligoepichlorohydrin with sodium azide in water in the presence of a phase transfer catalyst followed by separation of sodium chloride, residual sodium azide and the phase transfer catalyst from the end product. The method is characterised by azidation of linear or cyclic oligoepichlorohydrins of formula X-[OCH₂(CH₂Cl)CH-]_nY (I), use of tetrabutylammonium bromide as the phase transfer catalyst, which is separated from the end product simultaneously with sodium chloride and sodium azide in the form of an aqueous layer and oligoglycidyl azides of formula X-[OCH₂(CH₂N₃)CH-]_nY (II) are obtained in the form of an organic layer. In formulae (I) and (II), n=4÷20, X=H, CH₃; Y=OH, OCH₂CH₂OCH₃ for linear oligoglycidyl azides; X and Y are absent for cyclic oligoglycidyl azides.

EFFECT: method enables to obtain oligoglycidyl azides with a different modification in a wide molecular weight range with extraction of the end product in a single step.
