FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: present group of inventions relates to the field of organic chemistry, specifically to 2,2-dialkyl-1,3-dimethoxypropane, a method for production thereof, as well as use of propylene polymerisation catalyst as stereo-regulating component. 2,2-dialkyl-1,3-dimethoxypropane of formula 1 contains in its structure as one of alkyl groups (6,6-dimethylbicyclo[3.1.1]heptan-2-yl)methyl fragment, and as the second alkyl group R is a straight fragment of the composition R = n-CmH2m+1 (m = 1-8).
EFFECT: providing desired 1,3-diesters, a synthesis method thereof and use of titanium-magnesium catalysts as an internal donor for polymerisation of propylene, which enables to obtain polypropylene with a controlled molecular weight distribution depending on the introduced straight alkyl substitute.
