FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: tin-containing sulphide rejects are mixed with pyrite as a sulphidiser and with wooden chips to produce a charge. The charge is burnt by three-stage heating with the removal of arsenic sulphide vapour to a condenser. At the first stage the charge is heated up to 350°C, at the second stage - up 500°C, and at the third stage - up to 650°C with obtaining a sulphide tin-containing calcine. The arsenic sulphide vapour is cooled down to 300°C and then to 60°C obtaining the arsenic suphide condensate. The unit for tin-containing sulphide reject processing comprises a loading hopper, a heat insulated heated furnace made as a pipe with a sealed flap to supply the charge from the loading hopper and an unloading flap at the pipe end with the pipe being fitted by an axial screw to move the charge in the pipe and a three-section heater. In the second heater section the furnace is equipped by a vapour removing hole and is connected to the condenser.
EFFECT: isolation of the least toxic arsenic sulphide with minimal gas output and production of low-arsenic sulphide tin-containing calcine.
