FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: for the purpose of determining the thermal volume expansion coefficient of liquid, a sample of the tested liquid is put into a calorimeter cell, and pressure in the cell with the tested liquid sample is increased stepwise. After every pressure rise the heat flow to the cell and the volume of the tested liquid are measured and basing on the heat flow measurement results the thermal volume expansion coefficient of the tested liquid is determined with the consideration of the prespecified effective volume of the cell.
EFFECT: higher accuracy of determining the thermal volume expansion coefficient of liquid.
