FIELD: mining industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention is aimed to determine the wettability of rocks by reservoir and injected fluids. The essence of the invention consists in the fact that a rock sample is placed in a sealed measuring cell of a calorimeter, the sample is degassed and the free volume of the measuring cell remaining after the sample is placed is determined. Then the sample is re-degassed and the initial pressure in the cell is measured. The cell is filled at least once with a given amount of fluid adsorbed by the sample surface, and before the cell is filled and continuously during the filling process, the heat flow released during the adsorption into the cell is recorded until the heat flow is stabilized. In the process of filling the cell, a continuous measurement of the pressure in the cell is also carried out. Based on the measurement results, the amount of fluid adsorbed by the sample surface and the differential enthalpy of fluid vapor adsorption are determined and the contact angle of wetting the sample surface with fluid is calculated, according to which the wettability of the rock with fluid is determined.
EFFECT: providing the possibility of determining the wettability of a rock with a fluid at elevated pressure and temperature values corresponding to reservoir conditions.
