SUBSTANCE: bottles or the like, as well as the cans, are transported by the transport elements along the transportation direction, and the transport elements have centring and/or fixing elements (3, 4) for fixing the corresponding container (7), and the device for processing the containers (1) has at least one control device (8) carrying out control of bottles or similar containers (7) for the presence of unwanted foreign substances, and the control device (8) is also connected to the data processing unit (18), at that the control device (8) is an integral component part of the transport element and/or its centring and/or fixing element (3, 4) and is made in the form of a piezoelectric sensor, and that the element is provided for initiation, which causes the container to be controlled (7) to move in the corresponding direction, at that the container is raised, and vice versa, and the control device (8) can be connected to the container so that it can move in the corresponding direction of movement and along the transportation direction together with the control device (8).
EFFECT: enabling the ability of reliable detection of unwanted foreign substances in containers such as bottles or cans.
