FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to the method of control for a compressor element of a screw compressor. Method to control a compressor element of a screw compressor where the compressor element (1) comprises a casing (2) with two mutually engaged spiral rotors (3) inside, with each of the rotors being held in the casing (2) in axial direction (X-X′) by at least one axial bearing. There are an inlet hole side (10) and an outlet hole side (11) in the casing (2). The method involves process A and/or process B. The process A involves the first stage when the first magnet (17) is switched on during the compressor element (1) start-up so that the magnet (17) applies the force directed from the outlet hole side (11) towards the inlet hole side (10) to the rotor, and the first magnet (17) is switched off during the nominal operation of compressor element (1). The process B involves the first stage when the second magnet is kept switched on during the compressor element (1) start-up and the second magnet is switched on during the nominal operation of the compressor element (1) so that the second magnet provides for a force directed from the inlet hole side (10) towards the outlet hole side (11).
EFFECT: invention is aimed at the optimisation of load on axial bearings.
