SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a wireless local area network (WLAN) and namely to a sounding procedure of a channel between stations (STA) in WLAN system and to a procedure supporting device. The proposed sounding method of a channel in WLAN system involves the following: transmission of a frame declaring a packet with non-available data (NDPA) to a receiver for initiation of the channel sounding procedure; transmission of the non-available data packet (NDP) to the receiver and reception of a feedback frame. The feedback frame includes a variety of frames of a segment and a report of channel feedback; with that, the report of channel feedback is divided into a variety of feedback segments, and each of the variety of feedback segments is included in each of the variety of segment frames respectively. Each of the variety of segment frames includes a subfield of the first segment, which specifies, whether each of the variety of included feedback segments is the first segment, and a subfield of the rest segments, which specifies the number of the rest feedback segments.

EFFECT: technical result consists in provision of a sounding method implemented by STA in WLAN system of the next generation, which supports a transmission circuit with many inputs and outputs for many users (MU-MIMO).
