FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy, particularly to pipe production. Proposed process comprises production by ESR process of ingots sized to 500×1750±50 mm. Said ingots are turned to ingots-billets wised to 485±5×1750±50 mm, their weight making 2205-2440 kg. 100±5 mm diameter central bore is drilled therein. Ingots-billets in weight of 2106-2185 kg are grouped to one set. Ingots-billets in weight of 2190-2335 kg are grouped to another set. Said billets are heated to ductility temperature 1060-1090°C and pierced at helical rolling mill to get the sleeve billets Said sleeves are rolled to rerolled pipes at mandrels Carbon jar washer is fitted on said mandrel Said mandrel is fitted in the sleeve to produce the seed by rolling Sleeve with mandrel is returned to initial position to move the rolls together and to roll the front end.
EFFECT: preset sizes of rerolled pipes from ESR, higher efficiency of PRU 8-16" and decreased metal input.
