FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to automotive industry, namely, to automotive tread design. Tread comprises multiple raised ribs (9) confined by cut-outs. Each rib (9) is essentially parallelepiped-shaped and has length (L) and width (W), where width (W) is determined between the first side surface (15a) of rib and the second side surface (15b) of rib. Width (W) is less than length (L). At least one rib (9) of multiple ribs contains at least one cavity (17) accommodated inside the rib where the cavity passes mainly along rib length (L). Tread contains slot (21) passing mainly along length (L) of rib, where the slot comes out to the first side surface (15a) of rib and into cavity (17) thus forming a hole (23). Hole length (Lo) determined in rib length (L) corresponds to at least 80% of cavity length (Lc) determined in length (L) of the mentioned rib.
EFFECT: improved tire tread grip.
