FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to means of compensating for image jitter on a mobile computing device. The system comprises memory for storing profiles describing human gait, which include model data and compensation data, the model data including a sequence of anticipated movements of the mobile device, including the direction and value of the anticipated movements, the compensation data describing a sequence of image data adjustments, a processor which is programmed to continually receive data from an accelerometer, compare the received data to the model data from the profiles, identify a profile based on the comparison, receive image data for display on the mobile computing device, adjust the received image data based on the compensation data.
EFFECT: providing image jitter compensation on a mobile computing device by modifying display data based on compensation data associated with the gait profile of a user.
