FIELD: physics, signalling.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to signalling and monitoring means and can be used for remote detection of icing of different surfaces. The indicator comprises a unit for indicating presence of icing, a unit for indicating the degree of icing, a unit for indicating the exceeding of the allowable degree of icing, an emergency signalling device, first and second threshold devices, first and second logic devices, a pulse generator, a power amplifier, an optical emitter, a transmitting lens, a polariser, a control surface for depositing ice, an analyser, a receiving lens, a photodetector, an amplifier, an amplitude detector, an integrator, a force-to-voltage converter and a frequency-to-voltage converter.
EFFECT: enabling signalling of the degree and intensity of icing depending on the mass of ice on a controlled surface, and reliability of said signalling.
