SUBSTANCE: invention relates to computer engineering. A method of decoding multi-frame video data in a multi-frame video data stream, which includes receiving a multi-frame video data stream which includes a random access image which includes a random access clip; obtaining a random access flag for inter-frame prediction; obtaining information for initiating a list of reference images for the random access clip based on the random access flag, wherein the initiation information is a reference relationship between a plurality of frames and includes information on frame number and frame identification information; performing initiation of a list of reference images using the information on frame number and frame identification information; obtaining from said multi-frame video data stream modification information for the initiated list of reference images; modifying the initiated list of reference images for inter-frame prediction using a modification assignment value; determining the prediction value of a macroblock in the random access image based on the modified list of reference images; and decoding the macroblock using the prediction value.
EFFECT: high efficiency of decoding.
