FIELD: measuring instrumentation.
SUBSTANCE: method involves wheel centring with reference points for location of coordinates of dynamometers positioned on surface of platforms used for rotor wheel suspension. Load is applied to the centre of each platform by force application unit for each weight range of rotor wheel. Then characteristic points corresponding to projections of weight measuring platforms are selected on the wheel surface by superposition method, and the wheel is rotated clockwise at a defined angle against these platforms. After each wheel turn, weight is measured on each platform with one selected like characteristic point, with further arithmetic averaging of measurement results for all platforms in each like characteristic point. Then unbalance is determined in a certain way by calculation using measurement system and result processing, and balancing loads are placed precisely.
EFFECT: enhanced precision of hydraulic turbine rotor wheel balancing, simpler calculation of balancing process.
