FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method consists in centering turbine wheel relative to vertical tapered moving support by means of support elements with mate tapered surface arranged in symmetry in wheel body. Note here that platforms with strain gages are arranged and properly oriented under turbine wheel. Turbine wheel is mounted with the help of video cameras. Wheel image is loaded in measurement and processing system computer to define coordinates and force application vector for every platform so that define center of gravity of entire wheel proceeding from measurement results and its out-of-balance condition for it to be eliminated by appropriate balance weights.
EFFECT: higher efficiency and accuracy, expanded measurements range.
