FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: radon-vapour emanatorium consists of a therapeutic chamber, a process compartment, a nurse room, and a patient changing room. The therapeutic chamber comprises a re-built vapour generator and a patient bench; it is provided with a supply and exhaust ventilation system. The process compartment comprises an exhaust hood which accommodates two radon concentrate tanks. Before the procedure, the radon concentrate is supplied completely from one tank into the vapour generator, thereby providing a desired radon concentration in the therapeutic chamber. The radon concentrate is also supplied in equal portions from the other tank through a special dosage unit into the vapour generator for the whole procedure, thereby neutralizing radon loss and maintaining the desired concentration.
EFFECT: presented emanatorium enables generating the air-radon-vapour mixture of the desired concentration, temperature and humidity and maintaining them at the same level for the whole procedure, using low doses of radon and a short time of exposure that ensures a high capacity of the system.
