FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: cutting many-sided plate made on the base of equilateral polygon, with main and supplementary cutting edges formed by intersection of a front surface with lateral surfaces. The cutting edge is made as a curve inscribed in a quarter of length of the polygon side, meanwhile the radius of curvilinear cutting edge is equal to half of length of the polygon side.
EFFECT: improvement of work capacity and expansion of process possibilities at the expense of use of the cutting plate for rough and finish processing supplementary.
