FIELD: information technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention proposes a client system intended for recovery of information from a network redundant system, which contains memory and a processor, which can store and implement commands respectively. The proposed system includes a differential component, a location determination component and a recovery component. The differential component is configured to identify, for a data element that shall be recovered, one or more parts of the data element, which are different between the current version of the data element and the target version of the data element, based both on the first difference calculated in the client system between the current version of the data element and the target version of the data element, and the second difference calculated in the redundant location, which is distant in relation to the client system, between the current version of the data element and the target version of the data element.
EFFECT: reduction of delay and consumption of frequency bandwidth due to the fact that the data necessary for recovery is available to the client from global network location and from one or more peer-to-peer devices.
