FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of destroying nitrogen-containing compounds and phosphorus-containing compounds and can be used for processing solutions, formed in the production and processing of nuclear fuel, which contain compounds of reduced nitrogen, as well as the phosphorus-containing compounds, which include solutions from extractant regeneration and complexions, which form non-decomposable residues in the evaporation of medium-active tail solutions, which does not make it possible to direct the solutions for vitrification. The claimed method includes the oxidative processing of the nitrogen-containing compounds and phosphorus-containing compounds with nitric acid with heating in an autoclave with the concentration of nitric acid from 1 to 8 mol/l and a temperature of 130-220°C depending on the compound strength.
EFFECT: destruction of both inorganic and organic nitrogen-containing and phosphorus-containing compounds.
