FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: claimed is a method of controlling a level of a reducing agent in a device for neutralisation of exhaust gases, attached after an internal combustion engine, in the realisation of which the first injection of the first amount of the reducing agent is carried out before the device for neutralisation of exhaust gases. The second injection of the second amount of the reducing agent is performed before the device for neutralisation of exhaust gases, with the second amount being different from the first amount. Transformation of NOx after the device for neutralisation of exhaust gases resulting from the first and second injections of the reducing agent is estimated to obtain the first and second results, further injection of the reducing agent is controlled depending on the first and second results of the said first and second estimations of NOx transformation.
EFFECT: increased efficiency of controlling the level of the reducing agent in the device for neutralisation of exhaust gases for supporting low levels of NOx at the output from the system.
