FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: exhaust gas cleaning device includes a supply valve installed in the engine exhaust port for supplying ammonia to the exhaust gas. The selective catalytic neutralisation unit restores nitrogen oxides in the exhaust gas with ammonia. The catalytic oxidation unit oxidizes ammonia leaving the selective catalytic neutralisation unit. The volume control unit of the additive regulates the volume of the solution addition through the supply valve. If the amount of NOx at the outlet from the catalytic oxidation unit exceeds the amount of NOx at the inlet to the selective catalytic neutralisation unit, the volume control unit of the additive increases the volume of the solution additive.

EFFECT: using the invention, a device is created to more accurately limit NOx emissions.
