FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of purifying sewage waters from dyes. The method of purifying sewage waters from acidic and basic dyes consists in processing the waters with a sorbent with a caged structure. The sorbent represents a titanium-containing organometallic caged compound of formula Ti8O8(OH)4[O2C-C6H4CO2]6, containing residues of benzene 1,4-dicarboxylic acid as a linker, and in the lattice sites - clusters in the form of oxometallate polyhedrons, containing titanium ions.
EFFECT: increased degree of adsorption of acidic dyes with the preservation of the efficiency of adsorption of basic dyes.
