FIELD: measurement equipment.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to measurement equipment and can be used for testing of thermal conductivity of materials. A specimen prepared for the test is subject to action of thermal and mechanical load, in the shape of axial uniaxial mechanical tension and angular deviation of a vector of a temperature gradient from a free-fall acceleration vector coinciding with a gravity force vector. Temperature is recorded as to time throughout the specimen length and the obtained data is used to determine dynamic thermal and physical characteristics of material. A material thermal conductivity testing unit includes a vacuum chamber, in which an arrangement is made for a specimen prepared for the test, a vacuum-pumping system connected to the chamber, and a measurement system for monitoring and recording of temperature. The chamber is equipped with an adjustable tie-rod for mechanical loading of the specimen with axial tension by movement of the tie-rod, a branch pipe on which an adjustable retainer is installed for fixed angular rotation of the chamber. The measurement system is connected to thermocouples that are arranged on the specimen.
