FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: electric drive comprises a toothed stator with evenly spaced teeth and multiphase winding that includes two parallel branches in each phase with outputs to be connected to the source of alternating current or voltage. At the toothed rotor shaft placed inside the stator there is magnetoelectric inductor with the toothed magnet core forming poles with alternating polarity in circumferential direction, and number of its teeth is equal to number of the rotor teeth. The inductor is installed at the shaft so that teeth of its magnet core are shifted in regard to the rotor teeth per an angle that does not exceed one fourth of polar pitch in direction of weight moment action from the control element.
EFFECT: improved reliability and expanded functionality and scope of application due to increased overload capability, that is limit electromagnetic torque at the rotor rotation to rise the control element in motor mode and at the rotor rotation to lower the control element under own weight in generator mode.
