FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: electromechanical converter for electric drive of vertical movement of control member relates to electrical engineering and can be used in automatic control systems of position and movement of control element of nuclear reactor. Electromechanical converter comprises synchronous machine with multiphase winding of armature on stator, inside which rotor is located with rigidly fixed on its shaft toothed magnetic core and permanent magnets shifted relative to the geared magnetic core in the axial direction, forming poles of alternating polarity in circumferential direction, equipped with clamps for connection of capacitors, and a motion converter for transmitting torque from the weight of the adjusting member to the rotor shaft of the synchronous machine, there is a synchronous machine stator equipped with an additional magnetic core with a winding connected to the capacitor terminals in one or more phases, wherein the additional magnetic core embraces the permanent magnets on the rotor.
EFFECT: increased reliability of electric drive operation due to increased speed of lowering of control element at de-energizing of synchronous machine and increase of maximum of braking moment at speed exceeding frequency corresponding to specified speed of uniform lowering of regulating element, as well as broader functional capabilities of the electric drive owing to the function of the primary sensor for determining the position of the control member.
