FIELD: measurement equipment.

SUBSTANCE: vibration meter (5) includes one or more pipelines (103A, 103B) including vibrating section (471) and non-vibrating section (472), and actuator (104) connected to one pipeline of one or more pipelines (103A, 103B) and configured for excitation of vibrations of vibrating section (471) of the pipeline on one or more drive frequencies. Vibration meter (5) also includes one or more measuring transducers (105, 105') connected to one pipeline of one or more pipelines (103A, 103B) and configured for recording of movement of the pipeline. One or more parts of the meter, excluding vibrating section (471) of pipelines (103A, 103B), actuator (104) and measuring transducers (105, 105') are equipped with damping material (310) applied at least onto a section of the surface of the part of the meter for one or more parts of the meter, which reduces one or more resonant frequencies of vibrations of the part of the meter below one or more drive frequencies.

EFFECT: higher accuracy of a vibration meter.
