SUBSTANCE: vibration meter (5) is proposed, comprising one or more flow-measuring pipelines (103), one or more metering transducers (105, 105') and a drive (104). Measurement electronics (20) is configured to excite oscillations of one or several flow-measuring pipelines (103), using a driving signal, including initial frequency of oscillations, to receive a signal of the metering transducer from one or several metering transducers (105, 105'), in response to it, iteration phase displacement between the driving signal and the signal of the metering transducer by the specified increment of the phase and measurement of the resulting frequency and amplitude of oscillations with a shift, effectively sweeping frequencies of oscillations according to the specified frequency range of oscillations, and receiving multiple amplitudes of oscillations and the appropriate multiple frequencies of oscillations and for determination of substantially the response with maximum amplitude for multiple amplitudes of oscillations and determination of the appropriate frequency of oscillations, as containing resonant frequency. Besides, electronics is configured for measurement of resulting frequency and amplitude of oscillations after the specified adjusting period of displacement.
