FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the protection of metal surfaces against corrosion. Dried in a place, an anti-corrosion coating has morphology, including a continuous inorganic phase, containing from 9 to 73 wt % in terms of the total weight of dry solid substances of the coating, of, at least, one element of the IVB group of the Periodic table and a source of chrome in accordance to one of the versions of the coating, as well as a discrete phase, containing from 1 to 73 wt % in terms of the total weight of the dry solid substances of the coating of active solid substances of the organic polymer, dispersed in a continuous inorganic phase. A conversion composition for coatings includes an inorganic part, containing from 9 to 73 wt % in terms of the total weight of the dry solid substances of the coating of, at least, one element of the IVB group of the Periodic table and the source of chrome, as well as an organic part, containing from 1 to 73 wt % in terms of the total weight of the dry solid substances of the coating of the active solid substances of the organic polymer, in the form of discrete polymer balls. The coatings by the invention have a unique morphology, including two different phases, and provide good mouldability despite the high apparent solidity, an excellent adhesion to metals and alloys, such as iron- zinc- and aluminium-based metals and alloys, as well as the high chemical and corrosion resistance.
EFFECT: coatings, which additionally include chrome, are not subjected to chrome leaching and possess the considerably higher corrosion resistance in comparison with the known chrome-based coatings.
