FIELD: measurement equipment.
SUBSTANCE: water flow velocity measurement method involves lowering into water of a bladed screw of a hydrometric propeller and measurement of the bladed screw rotation frequency. As a result of rotation of the bladed screw from an incoming water flow by means of a magnet-controlled contact and a constant magnet on terminals of the hydrometric propeller, a signal is received, which determines speed of the bladed screw; the signal is transmitted to an input pulse shaper of the converter, in which it is converted to electrical pulses; selection of input pulses is performed as per amplitude and duration. Then, the obtained pulses are supplied to a microcontroller assembly, in which pulses are counted, flutter of pulse fronts is suppressed and time of water flow is shaped. With that, the parameters required for measurements are entered by means of a keyboard, fixing of stages and results of measurements is performed by means of indicators, and operation of the hydrometric propeller and the converter is provided with a power supply.
EFFECT: improving accuracy of measurements and enlarging functional capabilities.
