FIELD: power industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a technology of fuel cells, and more precisely to a module assembly of batteries of solid oxide fuel cells. The module assembly of the batteries of solid oxide fuel cells includes several fuel cells that are put together at least in two battery modules in-series connected as to cathode gas and containing at least one battery in each module. The cathode gas leaving the first primary battery module is supplied to an inlet hole for the cathode gas of at least one next secondary in-series connected battery module. Each battery module has the first side distributor at the cathode gas inlet, which is common for all the batteries of the above module, and the second side distributor at the cathode gas outlet, which is common for all the batteries of the above module. The cathode gas is connected in-series from the first primary battery module to at least one next secondary battery module by the in-series connection through the above common side distributors. The invention also relates to an operating method of the module assembly. The modules of the invention are designed considering technological requirements, balanced control of heat exchange and the maximum use of fuel.
EFFECT: providing compactness, simple battery/system transition and improvement of the system characteristics.
