FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: splint comprises a shoulder and forearm support with mounting straps. A back surface of the support comprises a metal C-plate with two sliding bars inside; an upper end of the sliding bar is rectangular and has a spring-loaded plunger mounted in a notch of an arched axillary support having end projections for attaching the shoulder girdle mounting straps provided with a bandage; the lower sliding bar is provided with a telescopic leg at the end of which a chest support is pivotally mounted. The sliding bars and telescopic leg are provided with stop screws, while the support is provided with pneumatic tampons arranged on the mounting straps.
EFFECT: using the invention enables using the splints of the same typical size for the reduction, fixation and sparing extension of the shoulder and forearm tissues in fractures and soft tissue injuries, as well as for the purpose of the arrest of major vessels bleeding during the transportation of injured people.
