SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of processing alcohol by catalytic oxidation with oxygen under mild conditions to remove acetaldehyde, and can be applied for the purification of alcohol in the medical, chemical, pharmaceutical and food industry. As a catalyst used is a nanocomposite material silver-ion-exchanger, with oxidation being realised with constant mixing with an oxygen flow.

EFFECT: invention makes it possible to remove up to 60-90% of the initial acetaldehyde concentration by a simple and efficient way.
