SUBSTANCE: invention relates to sealed electrochemical units. A sensor includes a housing, at least two electrodes installed inside the housing, an electrolyte providing ionic conductivity between the electrodes, and a gas vent component containing the first section that has a part passing through a channel made in the housing. Additionally, the gas vent component includes at least one elongated component connected to the first section that passes through at least some part of inner space of the housing. The first section of the gas vent component is porous so that gas can be diffused through the gas vent component from the inner space of the housing to the outside. Besides, the corresponding method for gas venting from the inner space of the sensor is described.
EFFECT: avoiding liquid electrolyte leakage and improving functioning efficiency.
