FIELD: measuring equipment.

SUBSTANCE: can be used to determine the concentration of a gas medium component. Essence of the invention is that the sensing element for measuring the concentration of a gas medium component comprises a chamber provided with a barrier permeable to a detectable component of the gaseous medium, inside which is placed a porous carrier impregnated with an electrolyte and a pair of electrodes made with the possibility of electrical interaction through an electrolyte, the first electrode is substantially enclosed in a dielectric shell, configured to maintain a specific electrode potential, and is disposed within a hollow second electrode configured to connect to a voltage source.

EFFECT: technical result providing the possibility of increasing the efficiency of measurements.
