SUBSTANCE: invention is related to a medium-voltage circuit breaker, which comprises a terminal assembly having for each phase the first fixed contact and the second movable contact, which are connected/disconnected by the transfer between open and closed positions. The circuit breaker comprises additionally a drive to perform opening and closing operations of the circuit breaker and a kinematic circuit, which connects the drive with the movable contact promptly. The kinematic circuit comprises a sliding element connected to the drive promptly, at that the sliding element has the first sliding surface connected promptly to the movable contact and may be moved between the first open position and the second closed position.
EFFECT: simplified performance of the opening/closing operations.
