FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: sound absorber consists of a frame filled with sound absorbing material put into a protective case. The frame is made from the lower part of conical form with a cover and the upper part of cylindrical form which is attached to the cover of the lower part of the perforated frame with the help of a vibration damping gasket. An element used to attach the frame to a necessary item is pivotally connected to the upper part of the cylindrical perforated frame. The cavities in the lower and upper parts of the perforated frame are filled by sound absorbing materials of different density. At least one screw sound absorbing element of the sound absorber piece is mounted around the upper cylindrical part of the perforated frame, it is made as a coil screw spring from dense flameproof sound absorbing material. The screw sound absorbing element of the sound absorber piece is made as a hollow screw sound absorbing element made up by outer and inner screw surfaces forming a cavity. The cavity is filled with sound absorbing material.

EFFECT: improved efficiency of noise suppression.
