FIELD: oil and gas industry.
SUBSTANCE: sampler for assessment of oil layer thickness above water contains the thin-wall, transparent vertical housing from the material, not wetted with oil and oil products. The housing is made without bottom and has a constant by altitude the internal cross-section area and sharp edge in the bottom part. In the top part the housing is conically narrowed and connected to the branch with the flexible shape, to which two valves are connected: side - for air discharge and central - for liquid discharge. To the central valve the calibrated pipette is connected, which in turn is connected to the two-way pump.
EFFECT: measuring of thickness of oil layer during the short period of time with applicable precision for technologies of express analysis.
